Full Time: Monday-Friday 6 AM-2:30 PM

Job Summary:

Position responsibilities will be split position between human resource support and cash handling/accounting. Responsibilities include cash handling for all dining locations for University Dining Services across Western’s campus. Primary cash handling duties will be ensuring each location has proper change and is processing deposits correctly. Will conduct cashier and safe audits periodically. Will assist in human resource functions including; filing and file maintenance, I-9 verification and maintenance, on boarding of student employees, and utilizing the HR system for hiring and processing changes and updates.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Have prior cash handling experience including ability to count large numbers with accuracy.

  • Have experience operating an automatic cash counter or other related technical experience.

  • Have the ability to carry change to various locations at Western Washington University.

  • Audit locations throughout campus to ensure accurate record keeping and cashier auditing in each location.

  • Work well amidst pressure/deadlines.

  • Plan, organize and have effective time management skills.

  • Be an innovative, creative and solution-oriented team leader.

  • Have experience working with confidential information.

  • Have experience recruiting and on-boarding employees.

  • Will require ability to cross train in other areas of accounting including accounts receivable and accounts payable.

  • Place orders online for office supplies and safety shoes as needed.

  • Enter vacation and other time off requests into timekeeping system with accuracy and timeliness.

  • Prior experience and knowledge of people based software and record keeping, including timekeeping systems.

  • Understand file maintenance and file upkeep.

  • Have experience utilizing E-Verify and background check systems.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Represent Aramark and University Dining Services professionally and ethically at all times.

  • Ability to knowledgeably answer questions for employees and follow through on issues that arise.

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, interact well with others; and be able to partner with supervisors at various locations.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications skills.

Position will report 50% to Human Resources Manager and 50% to Senior Unit Controller depending on job functions and requirements of tasks.

Ability to work well with others in a positive environment.

Position will follow school schedule and will go on temporary layoff periods throughout the school year.

Qualifications:
