Job Summary:

We have open barista positions within a large corporation downtown. This position also includes catering service when business needs dictate. The ideal candidate would have barista/catering experience, great customer service skills and flexible start and end times. We have a full-time position available. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Maintains a calm and professional demeanor during periods of high volume or unexpected events to keep store operating to standard and to create a positive atmosphere.

-Delivers excellent customer service to all customers, having the mind-set that customers come first

-Maintains a clean and organized environment

-Provides quality beverages and food products. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines.

-Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

Additional Job Functions:

  • -Available to work flexible hours that may include hours outside of normally scheduled shifts.-Previous barista/catering experience-Ability to learn quickly-Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees and directs cashiers to ensure timely and effective service of customers

Work Environment

  • Front-of-house

  • Occasionally inside kitchen area/dish room and includes interaction with heated equipment, steam. Loud noises, chemical products, and other at risk conditions


Required Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in English language, both spoken and written

  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark Alcohol Regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals

  • Excellent customer service and a positive attitude

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Must be willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned

  • Experience running a cash register, knowledge of processing a credit card reader and performing credit card transactions

  • Math skills for counting money and providing correct change

  • Must have at least 1 year supervisory experience; 3 years job experience.

  • Successful completion of the Aramark Hourly Food Handlers training within the first 30 days of employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in food service industry

  • Courtesy and tack in dealing with guests, co-workers, as well as others in the college community
