The Office Coordinater will support the Marketing and Sales Team in securing existing and new business through direct and indirect customer interaction. Specifically, this position will support the University of Minnesota – Dining Services Meal Plan Office and will become a subject matter expert in Residential Meal Plans, Faculty/Staff Meal Plans, the University’s declining balance program and more. Strong communications skills needed, as well as acting as a liaison between the customer and University of Minnesota Dining Services.

Key Responsibilities :

-Processes new and existing sales via online, direct and phone purchase channels

-Maintains customer sales database and provides static reporting to internal support teams

-Responsible for the development of strategies to grow meal plan and declining balance sales

-Work with Marketing Manager to raise meal plan holder retention, lower attrition

-Cultivate positive working relationships with clients of all levels

-Manage and maintain summer conference meal programs

-Assist internal marketing team with miscellaneous projects

-Assist in supervision of marketing interns and support staff

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate the English language.

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Six months to one year of previous related experience and delegation skills is desired.

  • One year working with computers and data entry is required as well as the ability to type 40 wpm.

  • Ability to remain calm in less than calm circumstances.

  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.

  • Flexibility, versatility, and reliability as a team player.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit at desk for long periods.

  • May occasionally require walking, bending, or stretching.

  • Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes, and/or pulls equipment, materials, and supplies weighing 20 pounds or less.

  • The potential for eyestrain exists with long-term exposure to the computer monitor.

Must have adequate or corrected vision, hearing, and speech in order to communicate effectively via telephone, radio, and face to face.
