POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the District Manager, the Chef/Manager will be responsible for providing leadership in the administration and the management of a consistently high quality food service. Aramark will assume operations of retail foodservice at this location. This location consists of a 600 bed Active Care facility. The Chef Manager will be responsible for overseeing operations at this location.

JOB FUNCTION:

  • Lead and supervise culinary teams of approximately 15 combined employees

  • Ensure that all food service standards and quality requirements are met

  • Menu planning, ordering and inventory

  • All aspects of catering management

  • Hands on food preparation and serving when needed

  • Weekly financial reporting

  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are followed

  • Ensure operation’s level of profitability and client satisfaction

  • Corporate marketing & promotions planning

  • Training and development of employees

Qualifications:

  • At least three years supervisory or management experience in a fast paced food service operation

  • Chef papers or diploma required

  • Red Seal certification an asset

  • Strong communication & supervisory skills

  • Good knowledge of company policies & procedures

  • Good knowledge of Corporate marketing & promotional programs

  • Good computer knowledge (MS WORD and Excel)

  • Experience in menu costing, menu planning and food preparation

  • ServSafe training an asset

  • Health & Safety Certification an asset

  • Demonstrates strong financial/analytical abilities
