Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that production meets health, sanitation, and quality standards set out by the company, food industry, and/or government regulations. The Production Manager may also be responsible for conducting pre-shift meetings and monitoring employee performance.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

The Production Manager performs some or all of the following duties:

  • Perform daily audits of Food Safety and Food Production to ensure compliance and identify areas where improvements are needed and develop solution’s alongside the Executive Chef and Food Service Director

  • Make sure that all process improvements are being followed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and coach/correct where needed.

  • Monitor compliance of Food Safety, Food Production and Health & Safety standards in accordance with company, provincial and federal regulations.

  • Ensure all employees and management have necessary Food Safety and Food Production documentation such as Temperature Logs, Cooling Logs, Cooking & Reheating Logs, Sanitation Logs and Product Sheets.

  • Maintain tracking system for all Food Safety and Food Production documentation in accordance with company, provincial and federal regulations.

  • Manage Waste Tracking database including authorization of all waste on Waste Logs.

  • Perform other tasks as outlined or requested by management while adhering to company, provincial and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Food Service environment; previous experience in a similar role is an asset

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and MS Outlook
