Guest Service Workers sells a range of store merchandise to guests in a retail and campground environment. Guest Service Workers are highly knowledgeable about all property merchandise in order to educate guests and up sell. Guest Service Workers are attentive, dedicated to delivering the highest levels of guest service, and always willing to answer questions and resolve guest issues. Guest Service Workers should also be highly knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding areas. Other duties for this position include Campground registration, stocking, cleaning, inventory, cash and credit card handling. This position requires individuals with a high attention to detail, strong merchandise presentation skills, strong cashier skills, a dedication to customer service and a positive and friendly attitude.


  • Complete opening procedure at the start of every day for the Store and Site Registration this includes, printing reports, registration cards, folios, checking stock and refilling where necessary, straightening shelves, counting rugs and counting the daily banks

  • Campground registration, process site check in and check out

  • Sell and make reservations for campground sites, tours and other activities

  • Confirm reservations for rooms, tours and other activities

  • Ensure accuracy for all reservations, payments and retail sale transactions

  • Run reports for daily occupancy and contingency reports

  • Greet all guests as they enter the store in a timely manner always delivering exemplary customer service

  • Guest Service Workers should be fully knowledgeable on all merchandise and site information, able to assist guests with their retail purchase or site reservation by informing them of product benefits

  • Guest Service Workers should walk the floor in the store during busy times answering guest questions and helping guests find sizes and other items

  • Guest Service Workers should be highly knowledgeable about the property and the surrounding areas

  • Up-sell and cross-sell as much as possible

  • In retail outlets that have alcohol or tobacco, Guest Service Workers must maintain a watch for underage patrons by checking the identification of customers to ensure they meet alcohol or tobacco age legal requirements

  • Maintain a daily bank and be accountable for all transactions

  • Handle cash, travelers checks and credit cards in a safe and accurate manner

  • Must be proficient in counting money, able to provide guests with change whenever needed and make accurate cash deposits at the end of shift ensuring all required paperwork is completed

  • Maintain daily side work ensure any required logs are completed in a timely manner also complete any restocking and cleaning duties

  • May be required to keep an inventory of stock - noting any out of stock items or possible shortages

  • May be required to order merchandise

  • Assist with checking in orders received check in by item on invoice, verify product count and input in receiving log

  • Restock any merchandise that needs to be restocked

  • May be required to prepare merchandise displays in accordance with Aramark display standards

  • Organize and maintain stock rooms

  • Ensure a clean and pleasant atmosphere of the retail environment all times

  • Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations

  • Go the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfaction

  • Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner

  • Diplomatically handle guest complaints always be polite and maintain a professional manner

  • Thank all guests and say goodbye as they leave

  • Complete closing procedure at end of shift by stocking merchandise, cleaning counter and floor, straightening all clothing, emptying trash and completing user cash out reports for SMS and POS systems.

  • May be required to train other employees on the role

  • Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule

  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy

  • Report to work on time and in complete uniform

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Guest Service Workers report to the Leads and Campground Supervisor

  • Position requires a strong customer service focus, strong communication skills and a positive attitude

  • Must be able to work efficiently prepared to help wherever needed

  • Highly dependable


  • High School Degree or G.E.D. preferred; current student considered.

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or food service is preferred.

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

  • Must able effectively communicate with others and follow written/oral instructions and procedures.

  • Must be 21+ and have a valid TIPs card to work at a retail outlet where alcohol is sold.

  • Basic mathematical skills are required in order to develop strong cashier skills.

  • Willingness to gain a good understanding of Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas and surrounding area, becoming fully knowledgeable on all activities and amenities offered

  • Must be computer literate in MS Office programs.
