Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Director of IT, Business Liaison will be based in the Aramark headquarters in Philadelphia, PA and be responsible for the coordination and management of a portfolio of assigned information technology projects and execution of the IT strategy in support of the business goals and objectives. Due to growth, we are seeking Business Liaisons in our Business & Industry, Education and Sports, Liesure & Corrections sectors.

The Director of IT will be tasked with managing the implementation of technology projects in alignment with the business strategic initiatives, serving as a liaison between the IT functional and technical groups and the sector's business teams, and working with clients to deliver the IT value proposition and foster innovation in the business through technology.

This individual will be responsible for collaborating with multiple operational, functional and management across three lines of business, including multiple IT vendor partners, client partners, as well as Aramark corporate and IT organizations. This individual will work within the Aramark governance framework, project management standards and systems methodologies and adhere to company policies, procedures and standards.

Essential Functions:

The Director of IT will be responsible for the management of the project team members, developing and delivering and coordinate all activities within the framework of the principal responsibilities listed to insure completion of all project milestones and deliverables within the framework of the approved project timeline and budget.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Aramark sector management to identify, scope, plan and execute IT projects designed to realize the business objectives outlined in the overall strategic plan.

  • Work with the IT Center of Excellence teams to articulate the needs and priorities of the sector's businesses, insuring resources are leveraged sufficiently to deliver on the business commitments and initiatives.

  • Serve as a liaison between the sector's teams to the IT functional and technical teamsAssist in the development of the Aramark IT value proposition, serve as an IT representative in assigned existing client and new business development presentations.

  • Develop relationships with Aramark field operations, senior management, and client personnel to identify opportunities for innovation, assessing and understanding the impact of Aramark technology solutions, and m anage the execution of the project life cycle with focus on consistent processes, methods and practices required for all business projects and within the project management framework outlined by the AVP of IT.

  • Attend all assigned project meetings and field surveys connected with assigned projects, and providing meeting recaps and action items to the project team, corporate management teams, and vendor and client teams as required for the orderly flow of activity connected with projects.

  • Coordinate with the assigned projects business sponsor to understand the project’s desired business value, impact and required deliverables.

  • Participate in the project team assembly, and manage the activities of a cross-functional project team to insure on-time execution of all implementation activities.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project activities for the project team, vendors, Aramark management and client representatives.

  • Work both independently and as part of a project team.

Status and Scope:

The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and skills:

Four-year university/college degree or equivalent (certification and experience)

  • Requires between 5 to 7+ years of experience in a formal Information Technology role or relevant experience in working with technology solutions or strategy in a hospitality business

  • Experience in project management, business process analysis, or advanced business intelligence or analytics is preferred.

  • Experience creating Business Requirements, Project Plans, Project Schedules and associated project materials

  • Experience in Hospitality, Sports, Retail, Restaurant (Casual Dining, Fast Casual or QSR), or other consumer-facing industry preferred.

  • Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate at all levels within the organization

  • Excellent relationship building, managerial and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in IT strategy and execution, systems design, configuration, and deployment

  • Experience with SDLC methods and practices

  • Experience with Point of Sale systems is a plus
