Designs and conducts a wide range of quality assurance processes, tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.

Plans and executes tests, documents and communicates outcome in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, hardware, software, technology tools, etc. Coordinates activities with other teams (e.g. Functional, Development, Deployment, Support etc.) Ensures that final software delivery meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.

Analyzes systems and processes from end to end, assessing the failure points which could arise in application modules. Prepares and documents test plan, environments and success criteria for scheduled software release. Adheres to schedule for testing and status updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and conducts a wide range of quality assurance processes, tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.

  • Assists with the drafting, revision and execution of test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy

  • Creates test data and scenarios to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow

  • Ensures that system tests are successfully completed, documented and that problems are escalated for appropriate resolution.

  • Follows quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures. Identifies, recommends changes to enhance the effectiveness of software quality assurance strategies.

  • Assist with audits for the test results of others to determine accuracy and identify areas of possible improvement. Provide recommendations to the team to increase effectiveness.

  • Make recommendations for system changes, enhancements and processes to increase the efficiency of the QA cycle.

  • Design and execute testing scenarios and scripts against new technologies prior to release to production.

  • Adheres to ARAMARK standards to ensure proper tracking, documentation, and support is provided. Document, report, and communicates project risks, progress and status to management.

  • Directly interfacing with the business community and the IT team to develop test cases and scenarios

  • Analyzes systems and processes from end to end, assessing the failure points which could arise in various applications.

  • Possesses clear technical proficiencies, possess sound critical reasoning skills and the desire to improve existing processes.

  • Must be reasonably self-sufficient in uncovering the causes underlying issues or defects.

  • Leverage a set of internal software tools which provide tracking and resolution capabilities

  • Coordination with the business analyst and other members of the IT development staff to review or escalate support incidents; escalations may need to go to the business community and interfacing with those individuals is expected

  • Coordinates with various on-shore / off-shore consulting practices on support incidents, including documentation and root cause definition when applicable

  • Principal amount of time will be spent on storyboarding, test scenario / case development and execution.

  • Will complete work in accordance with corporate established SDLC processes.

  • Research and analyze new tools / processes that can help the team become more efficient

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferably Computer Science.

  • 1 – 4 years experience in software development lifecycle

  • Knowledge and experience in test framework design and/or QA Test Automation

  • General knowledge in coding languages such as html, javascript, etc.
