Description:

The PROJECT MANAGER will work with field management, corporate planning groups, operations, and contractors to evaluate, design, and implement equipment, systems, and facilities projects in order to sustain and improve the operations. This position will primarily cover the West Coast so it can be located anywhere near a large airport in that area.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership by establishing and maintaining communications between operations and support departments. Provide technical expertise relating to processing equipment, facility layouts, facility construction, and facility improvements.

  • Manages the development, justification, and execution of capital projects. Will also oversee the quality, schedule and budget of assigned projects.

  • Collaborates with others to improve ARAMARK Uniform Services (AUS) operations through: energy reduction, machine utilization, product quality, and labor efficiencies.

  • Coordinates the development and evaluation of annual regional capital budgets within limits set by Corporate Engineering. Facilitates discussions with Operations to prioritize projects within facilities, groups, and the region.

  • Assists with research and testing of new equipment, products and services.

  • Will audit and consult with operating facilities on environmental compliance, safety standards, and equipment and facility maintenance.

  • Will assist with interviewing, hiring, and the training of maintenance staff.

  • Provides technical training to operations managers through workshops, seminars and one-on-one sessions in such areas as maintenance, energy reduction, wastewater pretreatment, and capital projects.

  • Must be open and willing to travel up to 80%.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred and required.

  • Five years of progressive engineering design and/or project management experience is preferred.

  • Two years of hands on management experience with at least 5 Direct Reports is preferred and required.

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of methods, analysis, forecasting, work place design, work measurement, capital planning and resource planning is preferred.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Project (or similar scheduling software) is required.

  • Must be capable of coordinating and managing multiple projects in multiple facilities at any given time.
