As the on-site Energy Manager, this individual will be responsible for supporting and implementing a comprehensive energy efficiency program at a large client site with multiple buildings across Baton Rousa, LA.

  • Working knowledge of building systems, i.e. boilers, chillers, HVAC/R, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).

  • Optimize building operating schedules and set-points via the BAS controls. Apply energy saving control strategies as applicable.

  • Assist with identifying and evaluating energy efficiency measures, calculate the savings potential of measures, and prepare assessment reports.

  • Create formal documentation, including memorandums, reports, etc., which are routine deliverables produced by the Energy Manager.

  • Successfully build alliances and influence key decision makers (on all levels).

  • Participate in monthly client meetings, and ensure energy program performs against contractual objectives.

  • Ensure annual energy performance savings targets are achieved.


  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering or Technical Related Field

  • 3+ years of practical experience in energy working with commercial customers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion and understanding of energy efficiency and clean energy technology

  • Possess, or strong desire to obtain, a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification

  • Strong organizational and computer skills are necessary, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
