As a General Manager, Business Services you will be responsible for providing leadership, planning and management/supervision.
Assist Front Line Managers/Supervisors in determining the needs of the client operations and ensuring the appropriate resources are engaged
Ensure achievement of client expectations in terms of operational efficiency, customer service, business viability and effective facility management.
Monitors and assists Front Line Managers/Supervisors in meeting or exceeding quality benchmarks and ensuring customer/client satisfaction.
Works side by side with the Culinary teams in the district continuing to "raise the bar" in the area of food for our employee restaurants and catering.
Remains current and knowledgeable on food and catering trends
Ensures compliance to established company policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with local, provincial and federal laws and regulations.
Ensures consistent and equitable administration of district human resources policies, procedures and guidelines to facilitate effective employee relations.
Coordinates activities with other districts and support departments.
Performs operational audits of accounts and helps the Front Line Managers/Supervisors to initiate improvements to optimize financial performance, operational productivity, and to ensure conformance with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation, and record keeping.
Monitors and ensures development of district financial plans and forecasts
Works with Front Line Managers to ensure that each accounts financial performance meets or exceeds Aramark and client forecasts.
Establishes and maintains effective client and customer relations.
Ensures proper use of customer attitude/customer satisfaction surveys for the benefit of implementing systems/processes to result in continuous improvement of outcomes.
Participates actively in the sales process working closely with the Sales team within Business Services
Participates actively in the marketing of accounts; conducts client negotiations and coordinates documentation of contract changes.
Selects and hires strong and diverse talent.
Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in management or related degree with a minimum of 4 years management experience preferably in a multi-site / multi - service environment
Ideal candidate will possess above average culinary knowledge and have a passion for food
Culinary and a "hands on" Catering background will be an asset
Strong financial controls service attitude, production and service systems and business ethics.
Competent with analyzing marketing trends & determining appropriate implementation strategies
Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Strong planning, organizational skills, logistic and planning skills
Must have excellent customer orientation, interpersonal savvy and communication skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical competencies
Proactive attitude and can thrive well under pressure
Must be able to work periodic evenings and weekends
Must be willing to travel
Must have strong computer skills
Ability to set priorities and multi-task in order to achieve objectives
