Position Summary: The Audio Visual Worker is responsible for maintaining and setting up all Audio Visual equipment throughout the location. The AV Worker will respond to requests for assistance when problems arise with any piece of AV equipment. The AV worker should maintain knowledge of latest AV technology in order to assure that the location maintains the finest equipment possible. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.
- Acts as individual responsible for applying technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment operations. * Assist/lead with equipment installation/operations and customer service responsibilities * Manage the service, support and maintenance of all A/V equipment. * Maintains and troubleshoots systems. * Resolves systems problems by applying good customer service in a timely manner. * Assist as needed with the delivery, set up, operation, and breakdown of basic to high end Audio, Video, Projection, and Lighting equipment. * Assist team with proper security, storage, transportation and maintenance of equipment. * Provide videoconferencing support for the facility * Analyze, recommend and standardize A/V equipment, service and support for the company. * Recommend and implement cost savings within the A/V infrastructure. * Manage and maintain related systems hardware. * Maintain production and control room environments. * Provide up to date information and recommendations for procuring equipment. * Maintain and update documentations and technical files needed to perform job duties effectively. * Provide reports and documentation for management. * Interacts directly with internal and external clients to meet and exceed their needs * Assist with security procedures, monthly and quarterly inventory, and forecasting equipment needs. * Runs service calls determining the appropriate approach. * This position has primary responsibilities for A/V functions but will also assist with various projects and day-to-day tasks * Maintains a positive attitude and outlook at all times.
Required: * The position requires a team player with technical knowledge, a professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and superior customer service skills * Knowledge of Audio/Video systems. * Able to work independently and with teams, required. Able to work occasional flexible schedule of shifts between 6:00 a.m. to -10:00 p.m., including weekends. * AV-related electrical/electronics experience * Knowledge and experience with audio systems and video projection systems * Must have the ability to speak knowledgeably and understand various technologies within this field and know when, where, why and how to apply them to our needs. * Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to video conferencing and A/V equipment and connectivity * Possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi task. * A college degree and/or relevant experience required. A min. of 3 yrs. exp. working with audiovisual systems * Outstanding written and oral communication skills-able to effectively present ideas and information in a professional business environment. * Effective time management skills, with strong organizational and prioritization abilities * Knowledge of PC software programs, e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and E-mail programs * Must be able to take on tasks with very little supervision, exercise independent judgment in performing such tasks and complete them in a quick and efficient manner * Excellent analytical skills in resolving production problems accurately, thoroughly and timely. * This position is required to provide services that meet and exceed user needs in accordance with our standards of operation. * A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continually improve performance and take it to the next level
Preferred: * Installation of all types of commercial audio, video and satellite systems. * Knowledge of terminating video connectors such as BNC s and audio connectors such as XLRs * Mechanical assembly skills and a general comfort with mounting equipment * Experience operating video conferencing & A/V equipment including peripheral equipment such as computers and document cameras as well as coordinating with bridging vendors to establish audio and/or video conferences * Knowledge of Data and Voice communications principles as they relate to IP-based video conferencing * Ability to utilize search engines and other business resources to gather relevant data and facts, and able to synthesize and apply the information
