Position Summary:

Laundry Supervisors are responsible for supervising the cleaning of all linens for the lodge. This includes ensuring that all linens are laundered, dried, and folded for guest rooms, kitchens, and restaurants in accordance with the highest cleanliness standards to ensure customer satisfaction. Laundry Supervisors are also required to ensure that all daily laundry procedures and policies are followed. Laundry Supervisors may also be required to perform administrative and Laundry Attendant duties when necessary.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists the Housekeeping Manager with daily duties.

  • Assures that all employees (housekeepers, housemen, linen attendants, and general resort workers) report to duty punctually, well-groomed, and in proper attire and is responsible to the conduct and behavior of said staff.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of schedules, duties, apparel, appearance, and conduct of all housekeeping staff.

  • Assists in the training of all ARAMARK, NPS, and OSHA policies and procedures pertaining to employment, safety, and sanitation.

  • Assures the establishment of effective and responsible guest relations and administers lost and found policy and procedure to ensure that all items are turned in daily and logged.

  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform

  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures

  • Report all maintenance problems relating to equipment

  • Follow all security, safety, energy and emergency procedures

  • Maintain a clean and clear work area at all times

  • Team Player

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisors and/or manager on duty

Status and Scope:

  • The Laundry Supervisor reports to the Housekeeping Manager

  • Must have the ability to bend constantly

  • Must be able to effectively manage a staff of housekeepers

  • Must be able to accurately carry out instructions

  • Must be able to do repetitive tasks

  • Attention to detail focus is vital to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained

  • Able to identify and communicate problems in English to Housekeeping Manager

  • Laundry Supervisor need to be comfortable working outdoors as they may encounter desert animals, which includes but is not limited to: mice, jack rabbits, snakes, bats, etc…

  • Laundry Supervisor must be comfortable being on their feet all day

  • Laundry Supervisor must be comfortable working long days in extreme heat



  • Should be able to work all department shifts

  • Have a friendly and outgoing manner

  • Previous housekeeping/laundry experience

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred

Equipment Used:

Commercial Washing Machine, Commercial Dryer, Detergents, Cleaning Solvents

Travel Requirements: Little or No Travel (>10%)

Lifting Requirements:

MEDIUM - Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Physical Requirements: BENDING CONSTANT
