The director of finance position is responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. This position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions. The director of finance also oversees all costs, charge backs, general accounting, payroll and risk management. Additionally this position will be responsible for managing a team responsible for month end close, developing all annual plans and periodic forecast projections. Establish IT resource management goals and targets to define and report the performance metrics against plans, targets and industry benchmarks.

Core Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to be the financial thought leader in the IT organization and support & enable the organization to make sound financial decisions.

  • Must establish, cultivate, and nurture relationships within IT, Accounting, Finance and the Business to deliver sound financial data and decisions that drive value across the Aramark organization.

  • Accountable for accurately advising and delivering accurate IT Finance results.

  • Must adhere to all GAAP and internal Aramark Governance and Accounting policies and standards.

  • Position will work with IT Finance and the business financial teams to properly manage productivity.

  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures

  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls

  • Provides status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advises management of actions and potential risks

  • Arranges for audits as required and appropriate

  • Manages budget and controls expenses effectively

  • Hires, trains, develops and appraises staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate

  • Keeps up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance.


  • 10+ years of experience in large company, IT Finance experience preferred,

  • Education – CPA, MBA, Degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Able to come in and understand the current environment, identify areas for improvement, and deliver results.

  • Must be able lead a finance team and work transparently with non-finance resources

  • trong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong financial acumen in IT & Project environment.

  • Able to gather facts as inputs to analyze situations that lead to making sound decisions.
